Gregory Lau
Performer
Gregory was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he trained at Mid-Pacific School of the Arts under the direction of Paul Maley. He later moved to New York City to study at LaGuardia High School and continued his training at The Juilliard School, directed by Lawrence Rhodes.
He danced with Nederlands Dans Theater 2 from 2013–2016 and subsequently joined Nederlands Dans Theater 1 from 2016–2019. In 2019, Gregory became a member of Crystal Pite’s company, Kidd Pivot.
As a freelance artist, he has performed with Winter Guests in Antigone and with AMOC (American Modern Opera Company) in Bobbi Jean Smith’s Broken Theater. His screen credits include working as a dancer and associate choreographer on the feature film Smile 2. He also served as associate choreographer on The Testament of Ann Lee and was featured in Doja Cat’s 2021 MTV Video Music Awards performance. Gregory joined Sharon Eyal Dance in August 2024.
